사이버교육 발전을 위한 새로운 학습 운영 방안：대학 교육을 중심으로

본 연구는 현재 고등교육단계에서 사이버교육을 제공하고 있는 주요 기관인 사이버대학과 일반대학의 사이버교육을 중심으로 수업의 질에 관한 학습자 만족도를 분석하여 현재 대학에서 제공되는 사이버교육의 문제점을 진단하고 새로운 학습방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 연구대상 집단은 사이버대학과 일반대학의 사이버강의 수강 경험이 있는 학생들이며 이들의 학습경험을 토대로 수업과정에서 느낀 애로점 및 ‘수업 구조화’와 ‘상호작용’에 관한 만족도를 설문 조사하여 분석하였다. 전체 설문 응답자들은 사이버대학 학생과 일반대학 학생을 포함하여 총 274명이다. 자료 처리 방법으로 기술 통계와 일원분산분석(ANOVA)검증을 사용하였다. 조사 분석을 통하여 도출한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 사이버 수업에 관한 학습자 만족도를 향상시키기 위해서는 학습자의 상호작용이 사이버 공간에서 활발히 이루어질 수 있도록 ‘수업의 구조화’가 체계적으로 이루어져야 한다. 따라서 사이버 수업을 진행하는 대학에서는 사이버학습에 맞는 ‘수업설계’와 이를 실현하기 위한 적절한 ‘매체제작’을 수행하기 위하여 전문가들로 구성된 사이버 교육 매체제작 전담 조직 마련이 시급하다. 둘째, 하이퍼미디어를 보다 기술적으로 사용하기 위해서 인터넷 활용과 관련한 별도의 기초 훈련 강좌를 개설하거나 또는 수업 도 중에 이와 관련된 내용을 강의하는 시간을 별도로 마련하는 등 컴퓨터가 학습을 위해 보다 친숙한 도구가 될 수 있도록 학습환경을 개선하는데 노력해야 한다. 셋째, ‘상호작용’과 관련하여 하이퍼미디어 상에서든 또는 오프라인 공간에서든 동료 학습자와의 활발한 상호작용을 유도할 수 있도록 토론방의 기능을 활성화 하는 한편 학습자와 교수가 오프라인 공간에서 정기적으로 만남을 가질 수 있도록 학사일정 안에 구체적인 프로그램을 마련하는 방안이 요구된다. 넷째, 일반대학의 사이버 교육과 사이버대학간에 학습 과정을 특성화하고 강좌 운영을 상호보완하는 협력 체제 구축을 위한 새로운 학습 운영 방안을 마련하는 것이 필요하다.
Abstract
The purpose of this paper was to evaluate learner's learning satisfactions of cyber education provided by cyber universities and onｰcampus universities, and to suggest new learning strategies of cyber college education for increasing the quality of cyber instruction. The samples of the research were collected from cyber universities and onｰcampus universities. Total 274 students were responded to this survey instrument. The survey data were analyzed in descriptive statistics and ANOVA test. The research results were as follows： first, the current cyber instruction should be developed to the more systematic structured instructions based on hypermedia. Second, the fundamental technical skill of cyber learners for using the computer networks should be required to the prior regular instructions in cyberspace. Third, the regular systems for the interactions among the human beings onｰline or offｰline should be stabilized. Fourth, the cooperative system between cyber universities and onｰcampus universities for developing the cyber instruction system should be provided.
