대학생을 위한 진로메타인지 척도 개발 및 타당화

Development and Validation of the Career Meta-Cognition Scale for University Students

초록

본 연구의 목적은 대학생의 진로메타인지 척도를 개발하고 타당화하는 것이다. 이런 목적을 달성하기 위해 진로메타인지의 구성개념을 도출하고 예비문항을 제작하여 전문가 내용타당도를 총 2회에 걸쳐 10명에게 검증하였다, 이후 56문항의 예비문항을 구성하여 1차로 전국 4년제 대학생 400명에게 온라인 설문조사를 실시하였다. 1차 설문 결과를 토대로 탐색적요인분석, 신뢰도를 검증하여 4개 요인의 총 20문항을 최종 척도로 개발하였다. 이후 타당화를 위하여 2차로 전국 4년제 대학생 400명에게 온라인 설문조사를 실시하였다. 2차 설문 결과를 토대로 확인적요인분석, 고차요인분석을 실시하여 적합도 지수를 확인하여 구인타당도를 살펴보았다. 또한 상관분석을 통하여 메타인지 척도, 진로결정자기효능감과 정적관계에 있음을 확인하여 공인타당도와 수렴타당도를 검증하고, 진로사고(CTI)와는 부적관계임을 확인하여 변별타당도를 확인하였다. 본 연구 결과의 의의는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대학생 진로메타인지 구성개념을 도출하고 척도를 개발하였다. 둘째, 진로 연구에 다양하게 활용될 수 있는 메타인지 척도를 개발하였다. 셋째, 대학생의 진로 수행에 실질적인 도움이 되도록 문항이 개발되었다. 넷째, 진로메타인지의 적절한 요인구조를 도출하고 이를 타당화하였다. 다섯째, 진로 연구 영역을 메타인지까지 확장하였다. 이를 통해 진로 교육 및 진로 상담에서 활용할 개인자원의 영역을 확장하였다. 본 연구 결과를 토대로 그동안 진로 상담영역에서 선언적인 수준에 머물러 있던 진로와 관련된 메타인지를 활용할 수 있는 계기가 될 것으로 보인다. 본 연구 결과는 진로문제 해결을 위한 대학생의 진로메타인지 수준을 평가하고, 진로메타인지를 활용한 진로상담프로그램, 진로문제해결 프로그램등을 개발하는데 기여할 수 있을 것이다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to develop and validate the Career Metacognition Scale tailored for college students. To achieve this goal, the construct of career metacognition was derived, and then an initial pool of instrument items were created. The content validity and clarity of the initial items was assessed twice by a total of 10 experts. Based on the feedback from those expert reviewers, 56 items were selected, and an online survey with these 56 items was conducted with400 four-year college students nationwide. With this data set, an exploratory factor analysis was performed, and reliability of the items was verified. This process resulted in the Career Metacognition Scale comprised of a total of 20 items of 4 factors. With this finalized scale, another online survey was conducted with 400 four-year college students nationwide. Construct validity was examined by checking the fitness index through confirmatory factor analysis and higher-order factor analysis. In addition, correlation analyses confirmed the public validity and convergent validity of the scale showing that there was a positive relationship between the metacognitive scale and career decision self-efficacy. The significance of the results of this study is as follows. First, the construct of career metacognition for career performance was derived, and a scale was developed. Second, an appropriate factor structure of career metacognition was derived and empirically verified. Third, the field of career research was expanded to metacognition. Through this, the scope of personal resources to be used in career education and career counseling has been expanded. Based on the results of this study, it is expected that career-related metacognition is utilized in career counseling, which has remained at a declarative level. The results of this study will contribute to evaluating the level of career metacognition of college students for solving career problems and developing career counseling programs as well as career problem solving programs using career metacognition.
