청소년복지시설 청소년의 자립준비 경험에 관한 연구: 포커스그룹인터뷰를 중심으로

본 연구는 청소년복지시설 청소년의 자립준비 경험을 통하여 자립준비청소년의 자립 지원 방안을 모색하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 관련 선행연구들을 고찰하고, 만 19세 이상 24 세 미만의 자립준비청소년 8명을 2그룹으로 나누어 포커스그룹인터뷰(FGI)를 실시하였다. 자료분석은 귀납적 주제분석 방법을 사용하였다. 연구 결과 총 7개의 영역, 29개의범주, 57개의 하위범주, 103개의 개념으로 정리되었다. 최종 도출된 영역은 자립의 의미, 자립과정에서 겪은 어려움, 자립과정에서의 노력, 자립과정에서 받은 도움, 자립 후 변화, 자립에 필요한 역량 및 자립에 필요한 도움이었다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 자립준비청소년의 지속가능한 자립 적응을 조력하는 프로그램 개발에 필요한 구성요소를 제안하였다. 본 연구는 자립지원요원이 자립준비청소년을 대상으로 효과적인 자립지원 서비스를 제공할 수 있는 자립준비 프로그램의 구성요소를 제안하였다는 데 의의가 있다. 이를 토대로 청소년복지시설 청소년의 자립준비 수준에 따른 맞춤형 프로그램을 제공함으로써 효과적인 사례관리가 이루어지길 기대해본다.
Abstract
This study aimed (a) to understand the experience and journey to self-reliance of adolescents living in youth welfare and services centers in South Korea and (b) to find ways to promote their self-reliance. To this end, previous studies on this topic were reviewed, and a focus group interview (FGI) was conducted with two groups of eight adolescents who were between the ages of 19 and 24 and who were transitioning to adulthood and self-efficiency. An inductive analysis method was used for data analysis. From the data, seven areas, 29 categories, 57 subcategories, and 103 concepts emerged. The seven areas were the meaning of self-reliance, difficulties experienced in the process of being self-reliant, efforts made in the process, help received in the process, changes after being self-reliant, competence necessary for self-reliance, and help necessary for self-reliance. Based on these findings, the components are suggested, necessary for the development of a program that can assist adolescents to make smooth transition and adaptation to self-reliance and to have sustainable living. It is our hope that self-reliance preparation program with the suggested components are developed and used to provide effective self-reliance support services to adolescents preparing for self-reliance. We further hope that effective case management in youth welfare and services centers is performed by implementing these programs, specifically customized and tailored to the level of self-reliance of adolescents.
