그룹홈 퇴소 청소년의 자립 준비과정 경험에 대한 사례연구

본 연구는 그룹홈 퇴소 청소년들의 자립준비 과정에 대한 경험을 탐색함으로써 향후 그룹홈 퇴소 청소년들을 위한 자립지원 정책과 전략을 제안하기 위해 수행되었다. 연구목적을 달성하기 위해 그룹홈을 퇴소한 청소년 8명을 대상으로 심층인터뷰 진행하였으며 수집된 자료를 질적 사례연구방법으로 분석하였다. 그 결과 전체 사례에서 나타난 주제는 ‘불안정한 방향설정’, ‘막다른 길’, ‘내 것인 듯 내 것 아닌 지원’, ‘홀로 맞서는 세상’, ‘다시 꿈꾸는 미래’로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 그룹홈 퇴소 청소년의 자립지원을 위한 정책과 실천지침을 논의하였다. 본 연구는 그동안 아동양육시설 퇴소 아동 중심으로 이루어졌던 자립연구에서 벗어나 그룹홈 퇴소 아동을 연구대상으로 하고 자립 초기인 진로설정부터 퇴소결정과정과 지원, 실제적인 생활과 미래에 대한 계획까지 자립에 초점을 맞추어 자립 전 과정을 총체적으로 살펴보았다는데 그 의의가 있다.
Abstract
This research was realized to propose a policy and strategy to support the future independence of youth discharged from group home by exploring the independent living preparation experience of youth discharged from group home. In order to achieve such a research objective, we led the depth interview with 8 youths discharged from group home, and analyzed the collected data with qualitative case research method. As a result, the themes appeared on the whole cases were ‘instable direction setting’, ‘dead-end street’, ‘my support unlikely to be mine’, ‘coping alone with the world’, ‘Hoping for future again’. On the basis of this research result, we discussed on a policy and practice guideline to support the independence of youth discharged from group home. This research has its meaning in that, being off the independence research made for the children discharged from orphanage, was made for the children discharged from group home, and that observed the whole process of independence by focusing upon the career setting, decision of discharge process and support, real life and future plan.
