Abstract

This article seeks Russian Strategic Thoughts and Putin's way of war. Russian Strategic Thought is a very significant framework in understanding today's Russian security and military strategy. In this article, I argue that Putin's hybrid warfare is a continuous tradition rather than a new concept by examining historical contexts of Russian strategic thoughts. I makes arguments that Russian strategic tradition is very pragmatic not dogmatic by defining three characteristics of Russian strategic thoughts: pragmatism, comprehensiveness, creativeness.
