범죄 스크립트 분석을 활용한 몸캠피싱 범죄수법 분석

2000년대 초반 온라인 화상채팅과 함께 등장한 몸캠피싱(Sextortion)은 범죄자들이 남성 피해자를 성적으로 유혹하여 음란한 장면을 녹화하고, 이를 이용하여 돈을 갈취하는 새로운 범죄 수법이다. 그러나, 기존 연구는 대부분 보이스피싱의 일종으로 다루거나, 악성코드 분석, 피해 예방 정책 개발 등에 초점을 두어 왔고, 몸캠피싱 범죄수법에 대한 연구는 부족하였다. 이에 본 연구에서는 실제 몸캠피싱 피해신고사례 135건과 관련 혐의로 검거된 34명의 진술을 중심으로 범죄스크립트 분석을 수행하였다. 분석결과, 몸캠피싱은 사전준비단계, 피해자 유인단계, 주소록 탈취단계, 동영상 확보단계, 공갈단계, 자금이송단계로 구분되며, 체계성과 전문성, 국제성과 은밀성 등 특성을 가지고 있다는 것이 확인된다. 이에 따라 총책과 하부조직원에 대한 단속 및 처벌 강화, 범죄 수익 차단을 위한 신속한 지급정지, 피해자 보호 및 지원에 관한 정책 마련을 제안한다.
Abstract
Sextortion, which appeared along with online video chatting in the early 2000s, is a new method of crime in which criminals seduce male victims sexually, record lewd scenes, and use this to extort money. However, most of the existing studies analyzed sextortion as a type of voice phishing, and have focused on analyzing malicious codes used in crimes or developing policies to prevent damage. Therefore, studies on sextortion crime methods were insufficient. Therefore, in this study, crime script analysis was conducted focusing on 135 cases of actual damage reports and the statements of 34 people arrested on related charges. As a result of the analysis, sextortion is divided into preparatory stage, victim inducement stage, address book stealing stage, video securing stage, blackmail stage, and money transfer stage. And it is confirmed that it has characteristics such as systemicity, professionalism, internationality and confidentiality. Accordingly, I propose to develop policies to strengthen crackdowns and punishments on the general manager and subordinate members, promptly suspend payments to block criminal proceeds, and protect and support victims.
