The analysis of the response of Korean proficiency test: analysing the response of 12th TOPIK's examinees

This study examined the question items actually given in the 12th Test of Proficiency in Korean(TOPIK) by analyzing the answers of the examinees who took the test actually. The analyses were done in two ways. One is an analysis of the distribution of the examinees in each language group and the other one is the analysis of answer-percent. Pattern and contents of questions were concretely examined in regard to how well or not well the examinees in each language group did as to each specific field and question item of the test. The distribution of responses of the examinees were different according to the influence of language, the influence of culture, the questions themselves. The results help to give some suggestive ideas to Korean education actually now being given and the future TOPIK in regard to how and what questions should be given.
