Many teaching guides have come into the market, including teaching aids such as tapes and CDs for facilitating speaking and listening. They now make up more than 70% of teaching guides in Korea. The weakness of these guides is that there is no variety of tasks for speaking activity. The method of teaching is very simple, usually consisting of listening to sentences and paragraphs and finding the correct answers. These exercises fail to address the importance of listening and speaking which circulates in daily life. This research work suggests a plan to construct a teaching method for the education of task-based speaking and listening whose purpose is the advancement of communication of daily life. In addition, the differences in what the learners wants, the materials in the unit construction, and the parts that are to be amended and added was researched through the analysis of the results of the survey.
