Abstract
This study saw the need to thoroughly discuss SF literature in relation to posthuman discourse. Accordingly, it was noted that the Enlightenment showed a clear interest in the importance of materialism and science and was engrossed in the collection of knowledge. Specifically, through the theme of 'encyclopedia', we tried to read the relationship between Diderot, one of the French Enlightenment philosophers, and Berber's SF literature. To this end, we tried to examine the connection and difference between 『Encyclopedia』 compiled by Diderot, 『Encyclopedia of Relative and Absolute Knowledge (ESRAE)』 and 『Imagination Dictionary』.
