본 연구에서는 발달장애아동의 지적 감각적 능력을 향상시키기 위한 햅틱 인터랙션 시스템을 제안한다. 이를 위하여 시각, 청각, 촉각을 생성하는 임베디드 하드웨어와 소프트웨어를 개발한다. 제안하는 시스템은 발달장애아동들에게 자기주도 학습 및 창의성을 향상시킬 수 있도록 불빛과 온열감, 그리고 진동 자극 등 다양한 감각을 제공한다. 햅틱 인터랙션 시스템을 개발하기 위해 본 연구에서는 발달장애아동들의 특징들을 분석하였으며 이를 기반으로 촉감 및 온열감을 생성하는 제어기를 구현한다. 본 시스템은 발달장애아동들을 위한 다양한 어플리케이션을 위해 사용될 수 있으며 또한 장애인들이 다양한 정보를 쉽게 얻을 수 있게 한다.
Abstract
This paper proposes a haptic interaction system for improving intellectual and sensory abilities of the developmental disabilities. More precisely, we developed embedded hardware devices and embedded software which generate the sense of sight, touch and hearing. The proposed system provides various stimulus including luminescence and temperature to improve self-initiative and creative learning of the developmental disabilities. In order to develop the system, first we analyze the characteristics of the developmental disabilities and then design a device controller that creates the sense of touch and temperature. Our system can be used for various applications for the developmental disabilities and can provide the opportunities disabled persons to access a lot of informations.
