Abstract

The paper focuses on the creation of middleware that allows multiple mobile devices in a metaverse environment to communicate and interact with each other without relying on a central server. The authors argue that in scenarios where users are in close proximity, using a central server for communication and management can lead to inefficiencies and delays. To address this issue, they have developed the Multiuser Interaction Middleware (MIM), which enables interaction between group users located in a short distance without the need for a central server. MIM offers various functionalities, including application interface management, group management, security management, resource management, profile management, synchronization management, and communication management. These functionalities enable multi-user interaction in a more efficient and low-latency way compared to traditional server-based approaches. The technology has a wide range of potential applications, including short-distance-based multi-user games, u-learning, and interactive applications. Overall, the paper provides an innovative solution to the challenges of enabling multi-user interaction within a metaverse environment, without relying on a central server. By creating middleware that enables direct communication and interaction between devices in close proximity, MIM has the potential to improve the user experience, reduce latency, and increase the efficiency of communication and management in various domains.
