Abstract

This paper conducted a detailed survey on the demand for education and training programs to enhance job competencies within the smart manufacturing sector, focusing on employees in the Daedeok Industrial Complex 1 and 2. The Fourth Industrial Revolution has significantly heightened the importance of advanced digital and technical skills in the labor market. Particularly, the smart manufacturing sector requires ongoing technological advancements and the adoption of new methodologies. The study involved a comprehensive survey to evaluate the demand for education and training programs aimed at improving job competencies in the smart manufacturing field. The survey included 200 employees from the Daedeok Industrial Complex, providing a deep analysis of specific educational needs by field, the current status of education implementation, and future educational plans. The results of this study are expected to contribute to the development of customized education services that reflect field demands and enhance technical and job-related competencies in the smart manufacturing sector. The insights gained from this research can be used as foundational data for developing and implementing specific educational programs required to strengthen job competencies. This paper serves as an important resource for stakeholders in the smart manufacturing industry, including policymakers, educational institutions, and corporate training departments. By addressing the identified needs, the findings can help create effective training initiatives, ultimately fostering a more skilled and adaptable workforce in the smart manufacturing sector.
