행복수명의 영역별 만족과 실행이 중·고령 소비자의 주관적 노화 인식에 미치는 영향 연구

초록

본 연구는 행복수명의 영역별 만족과 실행이 주관적 노화 인식에 미치는 영향을 분석함으로써 중․고령 소비자의 노년에 대한 심층적인 이해를 도모한다. 기존 연구들이 역연령에 초점을 맞추었지만, 본 연구에서는 주관적 노화 인식이라는 변수를 통해 중․고령 소비자의 노년에 대한 새로운 접근을 시도하였다. 또한, 노년의 삶의 질을 측정 하는 방법의 하나인 행복수명이라는 개념을 통해 중․고령 소비자의 노화를 다차원적으로 조명하고자 하였다. 본 연구는 국민노후보장패널 데이터를 활용해 행복수명의 영역인 활동, 관계, 건강, 경제영역과 중․고령 소비자의 주관적 노화 인식 간의 관계를 조사하였다. 또한, 주관적 노화 인식을 기준으로 중․고령 소비자를 노화 수용 집단 과 노화 부정 집단으로 구분해 집단 간 차이를 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 중․고령 소비자 내에서 주관적 노화 인식 에 차이를 보인다는 점이 확인되었으며, 구성 영역 중 재무적 요소보다는 활동, 관계, 건강 등 비재무적 요소가 주관적 노화 인식에 더 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 중․고령 소비자의 노년에 대한 이해를 돕는 기초자료로 활용될 수 있으며, 노인 복지 정책에서 개인의 주관적 노화 인식을 고려한 접근이 필요함을 제안한다.

Abstract

This study explores the influence of satisfaction and actions in the domains of happy life expectancy—activity, relationships, health, and finances—on subjective perceptions of aging among middle-aged and older consumers. While prior research has primarily focused on chronological age, this study takes a novel approach by emphasizing subjective perceptions of aging as a key variable. Using data from the KReIS, it examines the relationship between these perceptions and the domains of happy life expectancy. Consumers were classified into two groups based on their perceptions: the aging acceptance group and the aging denial group. Differences between these groups were analyzed to understand how perceptions vary across individuals. The findings reveal significant differences in subjective perceptions of aging among middle-aged and older consumers, with non-financial factors such as activities, relationships, and health showing a greater influence than financial factors. This study provides a multidimensional perspective on aging and highlights the need for senior welfare policies that address individuals' subjective perceptions of aging. By offering insights into the psychological and social aspects of aging, the research underscores the importance of personalized approaches in improving the quality of life for older adults.
