본고는 晦堂 尹膺善의 學問과 處世를 살핀 글이다. 회당은 毅堂 朴世和의 가르침을 받들고 毅堂學을 계승하여 학문과 사상을일상생활에서 실천한 인물이다. 학문의 강령과 조목을 제시한 ｢爲學十箴｣과 敎 學相長을 의미하는 ｢講課說｣은 멀게는 孔子-朱子-栗谷-尤菴-老洲-梅山-毅堂 학통을 계승한 사실과 관련이 깊고, 가깝게는 의당의 가르침을 계승하고 발전시킨 셈이다. 또한 회당은 국권을 빼앗긴 일제강점기의 암울한 현실에서 은자의 길을 선택하여 유학의 덕목을 일상생활에서 실천하고 매진하고자 노력한다. 또한 尊華 攘夷와 衛正斥邪 및 崇正闢異로 무장하고 현실을 타개하고 힘썼던 바, 이는 의당의 사상적 논리와 일맥상통한다.
Abstract
This paper examines the academic pursuits and life of Hoedang Yun Eung-seon. He was a person who upheld the teachings of Uidang Park Se-hwa throughout his life and dedicated himself to carrying on Uidang learning, putting it into practice not only in his studies and thoughts, but also in his daily life. The ｢Wihagsibjam(爲學十箴)｣ that presented the principles and articles of learning and the ｢Ganggaseol(講課說)｣ that meant that teaching and learning should be mutually beneficial are deeply related to the fact that the lineage of Confucius, Zhu Xi, Yulgok, Yuam, Laoju, Meisan, and Uidang was inherited, and more recently, it was the inheritance and development of the teachings of Uidang. Furthermore, facing the dark reality of the Japanese colonial period, when Korea was stripped of its sovereignty, the group chose the path of hermitage, striving to practice and dedicate itself to the virtues of Confucianism in their daily lives. Armed with the principles of “Respect for the flower and expel the barbarians(尊華攘夷)” “Defend the righteous and repel the evil(衛正斥邪)” and “Respecting the truth and rejecting the unorthodox(崇正闢異)” they strived to overcome these challenges, a principle consistent with the ideological logic of the Uidang.
