가정폭력 피해 여성의 자녀양육 경험 : 쉼터 입소 여성의 경험을 중심으로

본 연구는 Giorgi식의 현상학적 연구방법을 활용하여 가정폭력 피해 여성의 자녀양육 경험을 분석하였다. 이를 위하여 2007년 9월 가정폭력 피해 여성을 위한 쉼터에 거주하고 있는 10명의 여성들을 대상으로 심층면접을 실시하였다. 면접 내용에 대한 분석 결과 총 211개의 의미단위가 도출되었으며, 19개 의미통합 및 9개 주제가 나타났다. 9개 주제는 가정폭력 노출과 관련하여 ‘자녀에게 보호막이 되어 주지 못함’과 ‘자녀의 아내폭력 노출에 적극적으로 개입하지 않음’, 자녀양육에의 어려움과 관련하여 ‘얽히고 설키면서 어려움이 가중됨’과 ‘관계의 손상을 경험함’, 그리고 ‘미안함과 후회가 밀려듦’, 가정폭력 상황에도 불구하고 자녀에게 나름대로 최선을 다한 것과 관련하여 ‘부모의 책임을 다하고자 애씀’과 ‘자녀를 바르게 키우기 위해 노력함’ 그리고 마지막으로 자녀와 함께 ‘힘을 냄’, ‘희망을 가짐’이다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 가정폭력 피해 여성 및 자녀의 복지 향상을 도모하기 위한 사회복지 실천방안에 대하여 제언하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to explore parenting experience of the mothers of domestic violence from phenomenological perspective. Ten mothers who had minor children under age 20, had experienced domestic violence, and resided in shelters were interviewed in September, 2007. From the phenomenological analyses suggested by Giorgi, 211 meaning unitby 19 syntheses of meaning, and 9 themes were derived. The themes were as follows: ' denot provide protection for children,' 'do not interveol actively in the children's exposure to wife babaering,' ‘problems were deepen by getting entangled,' 'experience damages in their relationship,' 'run to feeling sorry and regret,' 'do their best to being responsible as parents,' 'work hard to r' se children uprightly,' 'pluck up their heart,' 'foster a hope'. Based on the results, discussions and suggestions regarding social welfare practice and research to improve of welfare of the mothers and children of domestic violence were made.
