2009 국어과 성취기준은 추상적으로 진술된 편이어서 교수‧학습 활동을 통해 도달해야 할 지점이 명확하지 않다. 그러므로 이 연구의 목적은 성취기준 예시문 선정 방안을 마련하는 것이다. 이 연구에서는 국어교사에게 학생이 쓴 논설문 30편을 제시하고, 성취기준에 부합하는 정도와 판단 근거를 기술하도록 하였다. FACET 분석을 하여 기대 평균을 산출하고, 그 결과에 따라 각 척도를 대표하는 글을 선정하였다. 성취기준 예시문 선정 과정의 특성은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 성취기준 부합도를 기준으로 글을 평가한 결과는 일반적으로 글의 질을 평가하는 기준인 내용, 조직, 표현에 따라 글을 평가한 결과와는 일치하지 않는다. 둘째, 성취기준에서 요구하는 내용 외의 요소들이 성취기준 부합도를 판단하는 데 영향을 미칠 수 있다. 성취기준 예시문에 적합한 글을 선정할 때에는 여타의 조건에서 감점 요인이 없어야 한다고 판단하는 것으로 보인다. 셋째, 동일한 글에 대해 평가하더라도 교사들의 반응은 서로 다르게 나타나는 경우가 많았다. 이는 성취기준에 부합하는 정도를 판단하는 근거에 대해서는 교사들의 합의가 충분히 이루어져야 함을 시사한다.
Abstract
The aim of this paper is to cautiously select anchor papers of middle school student’s argument essays which correspond to the National Curriculum of Korean Language, and moreover, examine the features of those anchor papers. In doing so, 64 Korean language teachers rated 30 essays of students using the Likert rating scale from one to six. Based on the FACET analysis, articles representing each score were finally selected. The result shows three features of anchor paper selection process. First, the evaluation of students’ writing based on the correspondence to the National Curriculum of Korean Language differs from the evaluation based on the content, structure, and expressions. Second, other factors, even though they are not what achievement standards from the National Curriculum of Korean Language require, can affect determination of coincidence between the students’ writing and the achievement standards. In selecting proper anchor paper, teachers assume that it should not have black marks for any other conditions. Lastly, the teachers’ responses were various even given the same writing. This implies that the sufficient discussion and agreement among teachers is a vital prerequisite.
