이 연구는 전문 블로그 필자의 글쓰기 전략 가운데 독자 고려 양상에 주목하여 자료를 수집하고 이를 분석하였다. 블로그는 긴 글쓰기를 할 수 있는 디지털 플랫폼 가운데 가장 대표적인 것으로, 2022년 국어과 교육과정에 매체 영역이 신설됨으로써 향후 학교 현장에서 주요한 교육 내용에 포함될 것으로 보인다. 이에 전문 블로그 필자들의 다양한 글쓰기 전략 가운데, 독자 고려의 양상은 어떠한지에 초점을 맞추어 연구를 진행하였다. 이를 위해 전문 블로거 30명을 섭외하여 개방형의 설문 조사 및 추가 면담을 진행하였으며, 이를 통해 시사점을 도출하였다. 먼저 블로그 필자들은 댓글이나 호감 표시를 하는 독자들이 자신의 글 전부를 정독하지 않는 것을 분명히 인식하고 있었다. 블로그는 접근이 용이한 만큼, 충성도가 높은 독자의 비율은 상대적으로 적었다. 이에 주요 독자들의 관리 및 피드백을 매우 중요시하고 있었다. 이는 독자 블로그 방문 및 댓글에 대한 답글, 독자 요구에 대한 후속 조치 등으로 나타났다. 또한 블로그 글쓰기 능력의 향상은 별도로 기획된 교육이 아닌 경험과 시도를 통해 향상시켜야 한다는 생각을 강하게 가지고 있었다. 그들은 디지털 공간 내 독자들과 실제적인 소통을 통해 디지털 필자로서의 능력을 기를 수 있다는 생각을 하고 있었다. 반면 블로그 글쓰기를 별도로 학교에서 가르치는 것에 대한 우려를 표시했다. 다만 이와는 별도로 블로그의 주제에 대한 전문적인 지식이나 경험을 확보하기 위한 노력을 계속해야 한다는 것도 주지하고 있었다.
Abstract
This study collected and analyzed data to discern the patterns of consideration among professional bloggers. Blogs currently stand as representative digital platforms that facilitate long-form writing. With the integration of a media component into the Korean language curriculum in 2022, blogs are expected to be included as a major educational resource in schools. Accordingly, this study focuses on the aspect of reader consideration amidst the various writing strategies employed by professional bloggers. A total of 30 professional bloggers were invited to partake in an open-ended survey and subsequent interviews, and meaningful implications were derived. First, bloggers acknowledged that not all readers who commented on the content delved into every piece of their writing. Given the easy accessibility to blogs, bloggers have a relatively modest cohort of loyal readers. Therefore, they place considerable value on managing and soliciting feedback from such major readers. They visited their readers' blogs, replied to their comments, and incorporated their feedback into subsequent content. Furthermore, bloggers strongly believed that writing skills should be improved through direct experience and trials, and not through formal schooling. They contended that their digital writing skills could be developed by interacting with blog readers. While they expressed concerns about teaching blog writing as a separate subject in schools, they emphasized the importance of acquiring professional knowledge and firsthand experience in the field of blogging.
