A Study of the Preface of Geumbojeongseon(琴譜精選)

This study developed a theme centering around contents of Yangpyojeong(楊表正), Gusanseowon(龜山書院) and the aspect of acceptance of preface, relating to the preface of Geumbojeongseon. Comparison between the texts of Akki(樂記), Geumbodaejeon(琴譜大全) and Geumbojeongseon draws following conclusion. First, the editor of Geumbojeongseon is not Yangpyojeong, nor presently known. Second, Gongcheon(貢川) Gusanseowon where the preface was written identifies itself with the Donglimseowon(東林書院) located at gongcheonjin(貢川鎭) in the northern part of Yeongan(永安) city, Bokgeonseong(福建省), China in modern times. Lastly, the content of the preface of Geumbojeongseon is the direct quotation from the item of 'AkkiPyeonEuumNon'(樂記篇音論) in, and the last part of the preface of Geumbodaejeon.
