이 논문은 1920~40년대에 존재했던 금천대좌의 의미와 제작 작품 그리고변모 과정을 논구할 목적으로 집필되었다. 이를 위해 금천대좌의 구조와 위치와작품과 역사를 이해하고자 했고, 이를 위해 관련 자료를 조사하였다. 금천대좌는1920년대부터 연극과 영화를 모두 상연한 조선의 극장이었다. 그러나 아직 한국의 연극영화사에서 이 극장에 대한 연구가 제대로 이루어진 바 없고, 그래서 금천대좌에 대해서 알려진 바도 많지 않다. 그래서 이 연구에서 금천대좌의 역사와 활동 내역, 그리고 특징과 그 작품들을 조사하고자 했다. 이를 위해 1920~40년대신문과 잡지에 나타난 관련 작품과 금천대좌의 주변 정보를 연구하였다. 또한 최근에 발간된 영화 관련 서적도 충실히 참조하였다. 이 연구는 한국의 연극과 영화를 위한 기초 자료로 활용될 전망이다.
Abstract
This dissertation has been written with a purpose to examine and to understand the works, meaning, and change process of Geumcheondaejwa in 1920~40s. For this purpose, this dissertation has been written with a purpose to examine and to understand the structure, the location, the performing works, and the history of Geumcheondaejwa. Geumcheondaejwa is Korean theater for both the film and the drama from 1920s. As yet, the study of Geumcheondaejwa isn’t progressed. So Geumcheondaejwa remains obscurity. This paper intend to examine Geumcheondaejwa’s history,activity, feature and works. I study Geumcheondaejwa and screening works contained in the magazines and the newspapers in 1920~40s, and film books and conference papers published recently. This study will be a groundwork of the restoration of Korean drama and film history.
