고등학교 사회 교과성의 텍스트언어학적 분석 - 지리 영역을 중심으로 -

Abstract

The Theis on the several aspects of textbook of ‘High School Social Studies,’ on the emphasis to geography. Checking the macro system looking up the table of contents, at several cases the table of contents lacked coherence and were imbalanced between levels. It seems like the problem has rooted from being overly adhere to the National Board of Educational Evaluation’s curriculum. More, looking at the mutual text among the sub texts, it was pointed out that the overly diverse sub texts decrease the coherence of the whole text. Lastly, in the micro perspective,sentence construction problems often emerge in linguistic aspect. The subject, Social studies, is one of the most interesting subjects since it is the most closely related to our lives. However, students avoid social studies because they are considered difficult to the students. Problems mentioned above probably contribute a lot to the situation. These might help overcome the shortcomings; having more unity within the text rather than being a mere parasite to the curriculum by the National Board of Educational Evaluation, making the text simpler and clearer instead of composing complex structure with too much information.
