In this study I analysed the text s tructure, especially theme expansion structure of the Science textbooks of Korean high school. In these textbooks, which brake down the barriers of existing fields of natural science, e.g. physics, chemistry, etc., the ‘simple linear theme expansion structure’ and ‘rondo structure’ are most prominent as the ‘interest-inducing structures.’ I critically explored this feature and discussed the meaning and significance of that. The Textmuster as well as the illus- trations of these textbooks are also discussed in this study.
