The purpose of this study is thing that proved the fact related on textuality in summary for selective examination. Professors suggest reading competence for picking out main ideas in pretext to applicants′. And the restatement competence about pretexts had accepted as a condition for selective examination among groups of professors and applicants. In here, the restatement is named "summary". If applicants are good readers, they can pick out main ideas and restate well, because they know relevance between structure of pretext and that of responsive text. Consequently, researcher found out two essential informations about summary; One is action structure named summary, the other is proposition structure analysed out opinion and definition. They are premises for selecting capable undergrates who can think critically and produce argumentative texts. In addition, the style of text is two type by deductive and inductive reasoning.
