대학작문교육에서 텍스트 이론의 적용 가능성에 대한 검토

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to search a method how to apply the text-linguistic theory in teaching of college students' writing. We can present coherence and cohesion as the judgement criteria of the appropriateness of the students' compositions. As coherence and cohesion are useful concepts for polishing ones' writing and teaching the methods of writing, we tried to accept those concepts in correcting the college students' composition texts. The errors in the college students' writing are appeared in each units of written texts, i.e. words, phrases, sentences, and paragraphs. We can divide the errors into several types on the basis of the criteria of coherence and cohesion of those units. Thus we conclude that we can teach the college students' to correct those errors in their compositions by means of making them recognize those error types by themselves.
