日本アニメの威力はまだ健在だと言わざるを得ない。日本映画が過去の全盛期に比べて相対的に萎縮した姿を見せるのとは対照的だ。強力な競争力を持つ日本アニメ作品の中には、日本文学と深い関連性を持っている作品も少なくない。特に、宮崎駿監督と共にジブリアニメスタジオを率いた高畑勲の〈かぐや姫の物語〉が注目を集めている。この作品が「物語の出で来はじめの祖」である『竹取物語』をもとにしているからだ。本論文ではジブリアニメ〈かぐや姫の物語〉について「音楽的想像力」と「平安文化コンテンツ活用様相」を中心に考察を行った。先行研究を基盤としつつも従来までややもすれば見落とされがちだった側面について言及することで、「多彩な音楽的想像力」について「音楽」の発見と「歌」の発見という側面を中心に考察した。あわせて『源氏物語』など多様な平安文化コンテンツが躍動する様相についても比較的詳細に考察した。以上から、この作品の芸術性を理解する上でより有効な視点を提供することができる。
Abstract
It is undeniable that Japanese animation continues to exert significant global influence even as Japanese cinema appears to have comparatively declined from its past heyday. Among Japan’s highly competitive animation works, there are many with deep connections to Japanese literature. In particular, “The Tale of the Princess Kaguya”, directed by Isao Takahata, who co-led the Ghibli animation studio with director Hayao Miyazaki, attracts considerable attention. This is because this work is based on the first monogatari,『Taketori Monogatari』.This study, examines “The Tale of the Princess Kaguya” with a focus on “musical imagination” and “the utilization of Heian cultural content.”. Building on previous research, it addresses aspects that have received limited attention and explores the film’s diverse “musical imagination”, particularly the representation of “music”and “song”. This study also examines in detail the dynamics of various Heian cultural contents, such as the 『Tale of Genji』. These considerations are expected to offer a more effective perspective for understanding the artistry of this work.
