The purpose of this study is to classify the errors of the subject expression in writing and to suggest the effective educational method that have the students in the university express good sentences. The causes of the expression errors are three as follow. First, the sentences are ungrammatical. Second, the sentences are not acceptable. Last, the sentences are not proper in effective communication. The errors of the subject expression make no difference. The errors of the subject expression occur when the subject doesn’t accord the other components in the sentence and when the subject is omitted improperly. The linguistic causes of the errors are various. To decrease the errors of the subject expression, it is important to teach the students grammar but the circumstance of the writing education in university is very restrictive. We propose the checklist that the students can check the errors of the subject expression by themselves. As this checklist includes the patterns of the errors, it will be the effective educational tool.
