Abstract
This study aims at establishing basic data for theoretical research on locative case markers of ancient Korean in Idu(吏讀) and Hyangga(鄕歌). To investigate locative case markers of ancient Korean, morphological, syntactic and semantic aspects should be dealt with. However, there has not been a lot of basic research on ancient Korean as yet. Therefore, this study, based on transcription and forms, focuses on examining examples of locative case markers of ancient Korean. By confirming forms of locative case markers of ancient Korean in Idu and Hyangga that have been traditionally discussed, this study contributes to showing new examples of locative case markers that have to be added to and some examples that should have been excluded from the traditional classification of locative case markers of ancient Korean. In that process, new efforts have been made to interpret Hyangga and to revise conventional views of Idu.
