2007 개정 국어과 교육과정의 개정 방향과 특징

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to present main characteristics of the 2007 revision of Korean Language Curriculum and to prepare the ground for implementation of the curriculum. In order to achieve this purposes, I analysed the background, needs, issues and procedure of revision of curriculum, and reviewed the characteristics of the 2007 revision of Korean Language Curriculum. The most significant characteristic of 2007 Korean Language Curriculum is laying emphasis on text reception and production. Texts in this curriculum are divided into four types according to purpose: information communication, persuasion, expression of emotion, social interaction. Each content takes concrete form with connected text, and the contents are arranged in the order of text types. 2007 revision of Korean Language Curriculum have other eight characteristics, those are as follows: contents by grade have reorganized as achievement standard forms; concrete and detailed informations are given to users; media education is added newly on this curriculum; contents have more appropriateness than in 7th curriculum; teachers have more authority on curriculum implementation than before; affective category is deleted but the contents are rearranged with achievement standards and texts; ‘context’ category is made newly and contents related to context are strengthened; some terms in curriculum is changed, e.g. grammar(knowledge about Korean), social interaction(friendship).
