Abstract

This Paper is to find restrictions of grammatical information in connective clauses in Middle Ages Korean. This paper can be summarized as follows. ① Grammatical person restriction; When the subject of the front and rear clause is the first person, 「-o/u-」is not appear in the predicate of rear clause. ② Parts of speech restriction; Most of connective clauses, parts of speech of predicate is not restricted. ③ Intention restriction; Only 「-kwandʌj」restrict the intention of rear clauses. In this case, interrogative pronoun has to be in the front clause and the intention of rear clause has to be interrogative clause. ④ Suject restriction; Generally the subject of the first clause can be same or different as the subject of the rear clause. But in the case of 「-ɨra」or「-koʤə」, the subject is same as a rule. In the case of 「-kwadjə」, the subject is different as a rule.
