오늘 한국 개신교가 직면한 신뢰성 위기를 극복하기 위해서는 한국 교회에민주적 교역 리더십과 전문직 윤리를 확립하여야 한다. 나는 이 과제를 교역윤리의 관점에서 다루고자 하였다. 교역은 하나님의 선교 개념에 근거하여 세상을 섬기는 교회 공동체 전체의실천을 뜻하기 때문에 전통적인 목회보다 더 넓은 영역을 포괄한다. 이러한 교역을 윤리적으로 성찰하는 교역윤리는 교역의 제도적 측면을 다루고 교역자들을 위한 전문직 윤리의 원칙을 포괄하기 때문에 전통적인 성직자윤리나 목회윤리의 관심을 심화하고 확장한다고 볼 수 있다. 나는 이와 같은 교역윤리의 관점에서 한국 교회가 직면하고 있는 문제들 가운데 매우 긴급한 해결책을 필요로 한다고 생각되는 세 가지 문제들에 초점을맞추었다. 교역자들을 위한 전문직 윤리의 확립, 교회에서 권위주의를 극복하고민주적 교역 리더십을 확립하기 위한 교역윤리적 원칙의 제시, 교역의 전문화와다양화에 대응하는 전문가 동역팀 운영의 교역윤리적 원칙의 제시가 그것이다. 우선, 교역자들을 위한 전문직 윤리의 틀에서는 교역자들에게 요구되는 거룩함, 사랑, 신뢰성, 이타주의, 신중성 등과 같은 품성과 덕성을 명시하고, 직무상의 의무 규정을 밝혀서 교역자 윤리 지침을 마련하는 것이 중요하다. 둘째, 민주적 교역 리더십은 교회를 그리스도의 몸으로 보고 은사를 교회의조직원리로 인정하는 데서 출발한다. 은사론의 관점에서 볼 때 민주적 교역 리더십을 이끄는 원칙은 각기 다른 은사를 받은 신도들의 소통과 사귐을 촉진하는개방성의 원칙과 교회를 회중 협의체로 세워야 한다는 원칙이다. 셋째, 오늘의 세계를 섬기는 교역의 전문화와 다양화에 대응하여 전문가 동역단을 꾸릴 때 이 동역단을 조직하고 운영하는 원칙은 전문가의 자율성 보장의원칙과 협의체적 동반자관계의 원칙이다.
Abstract
Today the Protestantism in Korea confronts a serious crisis of confidentiality. In order to overcome such a crisis, I think, it is crucial to establish a democratic leadership of ministry and professional ethics for ministers. In consideration of it I would like to present my opinions on such themes from the perspective of ethics in ministry. Church ministry is a wide scope of practice of the church community as a whole to serve the world according to the concept of mission Dei, therefore covers much wider areas of activities than the traditional pastorate. Ethics in ministry make reflections on institutional formation of the ministry on the one hand, give guidelines on ministerial virtues and obligations in form of professional ethics for ministers on the other. In this sense ethics in ministry deepen and widen the traditional form of the clergy ethics and the pastoral ethics. From the viewpoint of ethics in ministry I would like to deal with three emergent tasks which are closely connected with one another: 1) to argue for professional ethics for ministers; 2) to suggest some principles to overcome the authoritarianism prevailing in church communities and to establish a democratic leadership of the ministry; 3) to articulate some principles to found a collegium of ministers for meeting the needs of professionalization and diversification of the ministry in the world of today. Firstly, I believe that ministers should make efforts to acquire such character and virtues as holiness, love, trustworthiness, altruism, prudence etc. It is necessary to design a code of conduct for ministers. Secondly, I think that a democratic leadership of the ministry should be rooted in the insight that the church is the body of Christ and that it is a charismatic community. In it there is no hierarchy among the gifts of the Spirit but organic connectedness and cooperation between charisma-bearers. Therefore a ministerial leadership should be honest to the principle of koinonia as well as the principle of conciliar formation of the church. Thirdly, I suggest that the collegium of ministers should be founded on the principle that the autonomy of professionals should be respected and that all the colleagues should work together in a responsible partnership.
