초록

오늘날 한국교회는 이중적 위기에 처해 있다. 안으로는 정체성의 위기와 밖으로는 관계성의 위기이다. 이와 같은 위기들은 다음과 같은 문제들을 야기한다. 첫째, 한국교회의 정체성은 무엇인가? 둘째, 한국교회의 사회적 책임은 무엇인가? 본 연구의 목적은 위에서 제기된 두 위기에 대한 해결을 목적으로 하고자 한다. 구체적으로 21세기 한국교회의 개혁 혹은 혁신을 위한윤리적 과제는 무엇인가? 에 대한 답을 구하는 것이다. 본 연구에서 필자는2008년 한국교회의 사회적 신뢰도 조사를 중심으로 비판적으로 한국교회의현실을 분석하고 평가하고자 한다. 즉 신앙과 실천의 분리, 황금만능주의,정교유착 등이다. 다음, 필자는 한국교회의 윤리적 문제를 위한 답을 찾고자 한다. 다시 말해서, 타계적 신앙과 이원론적 세계관의 극복, 전체적ㆍ통전적 신앙(영성)의 회복, 공동체 윤리와 신앙의 공공성의 회복, 사회적 책임의 구현: 사랑과 정의, 그리고 평화 등이다. 마지막으로 필자는 한국교회를위한 제언을 끝으로 본 연구를 마치고자 한다.

Abstract

These days the Korean churches are facing two crises. Namely, there is the crisis of identity and relativity. This is an inner crisis in the Korean churches. The other crisis is outside the churches, related to the Korean society. These crises give rise to the following questions. First what is the identity of the Korean churches? Second what is the social responsibility of the Korean churches? The aim of this paper attempts to answer these two questions. Concretely what are the ethical tasks for reforming or renewing Korean churches in the 21th century? In this study, I will analyze and evaluate the real aspects of the Korean churches critically with a focus on 2008’s social trust survey of the Korean Churches. These are the separation of faith and practice, worshiping mammon, and a corrupt relationship between politics and religion. Next I will make an effort to provide answers to these problems. These resolutions try to overcome the lessening of faith and dual world view, retrieval of wholistic faith or spirituality, recovery of the ethic of community and publicity of faith, and the fulfillment of social responsibility by the churches. Lastly I will conclude with a proposal for the Korean churches.
