조선후기 密陽府 金寧金氏 집안의 忠孝閣과 卓三齋에 대한 사례연구

Abstract

This paper studies on Kim Yoo-Bu(金有富) family at Milyang city in Kyungnam province. The Kimyoung Kim(金寧金氏)had the shrine called ‘Taksamjae’(卓三齋) in the memory of the virtues of three bonds of loyalty, filial piety and chastity. The Kim produced three men of loyalty and filial piety and two women of filial piety and chastity during two generations. They were Kim Yoo-Bu and his two sons and two daughters-in-law. This is a very rare case in the country. Kim Yoo-Bu made a private fighting team and went to fight with taking care of his 90-year-old mother during the Japanese Invasion in 1592. At last he accomplished loyalty and filial piety. The government conferred an honorary general upon him and a Chunghyogak(忠孝閣) pavilion was built in 1756. His two sons, Ki-Nam and Nan-Saeng, also went to fight for the country and died at Kwangju battle during the Manchu Invasion in 1636. They had been awarded the honor posthumously for their actions in the war by the government. His daughters-in-law from Kyungju Choi family and Eunjin Song family took care of their dead bodies by themselves and suicided to follow their husbands. Two daughters-in-law had supported their parents with their whole heart and soul. The government gave Chungreo(旌閭) in 1863. (Catholic University of Daegu/joopark@cu..ac.kr)
