試析現代漢語情狀體的組合

본고는 필자의 앞선 논문(2010)을 바탕으로 삼아 현대 중국어 상황상의 합성(composition)에 관련된 제 문제를 분석하고 검토한다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. (一)현대 중국어 상황상의 기본 유형은 State, Activity, Achievement 그리고 Accomplishment 4가지로 나눌 수 있으나, 내재적인 시간 구조가 없는 無相문(Aspectless Sentence)도 있다고 본다. Smith(1997)는 LVM구문이 어중간상(the Neutral viewpoint)에 속하다는 주장을 했는데, 필자는 핵이 aspectless 동사로 되는지 혹은 다른 유형의 동사로 되는지 상관없이 그 주장이 성립하기 어렵다는 점을 논증한다. 더불어 현대중국어에서 관점상 표지 없는 LVM구문은 “無相문(Aspectless Sentence)”, “진행상 구문”, “습관상 구문” 그리고 “상황상 구문” 4 가지로 분석하고 그 중에서 “상황상 구문”은 “시간위치 지정 구문”, “modality 표지 구문” 그리고 “상태동사 술어문” 3가지로 세분하여 설명한다. (三) RVC 간의 문법화 정도 그리고 “V+RVC” 간의 어휘화 정도는 서로 차이가 있다. “完”、“好” 등 “動相補語”식인 상표지는 일종의 문법화된 어휘상 표지로 볼 수 있으며, 타 “V+RVC” 구조 중에서 “打動”, “改正” 등 합성동사도 있고 “搬動”, “貼正” 등 구(phrase)도 있기 때문에 구분할 필요가 있다고 주장한다. (四) [±bounded]이란 특징은 상황상의 기본 유형을 바꿀 수 있는 특징이 아니다고 논증한다. 또한 [±result]이란 특징은 “寫兩封信”, “喝三瓶酒”와 같은 accomplishment 상황상은 왜 [-result] 특징을 반드시 갖는 것인가에 대하여 잘 설명해주지 못하기 때문에 역시 문제점이 있다고 지적한다. (五) 필자는 상황상 유형에 결정적으로 영향을 미치는 의미론적인 특징은 [±telic] 및 [±stage]이라고 보며, 이 두 가지 특징은 언어 형식에 의하여 검증되어야 한다고 주장한다. “V'”, “VP”, “S” 3개 층위에 따라 필자가 현대중국어 상황상의 합성을 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. V'층위의 경우, “V+RVC”의 상황상 유형에서 다수는 achievement이며 소수는 accomplishment이다. “V得C”, “V個C” 및 “V得個C”의 상황상 유형은 achievement이다. VP층위의 경우, “到NP[Goal]”는 본질적으로 일종의 PP[Goal]인 것을 지적하며 “V到NP[Goal]”의 상황상은 achievement라고 논증한다. 또한 “我寫了一封信，可是還沒寫完”이 비문인지 아닌지 다르게 보는 논란이 일어난 이유는 “一”이 수식하는 NP의 [+count] 자질의 모호성과 관련 있다고 본다. S층위의 경우, 외부논항의 [±count] 자질은 현대중국어 상황상 유형에 대하여 아무런 작용이 없다고 논증한다.
