초록

≪河岸≫ is a background of the times in the 70s when the madness of the Cultural Revolution was in full swing, and it tells the story of the turbulent life of father, son and their surrounding characters who left the “land(岸)” and wandered around the “river(河).” Ku Won-xuan(庫文軒) is subordinate to the system and ideology, worshipping and following Mao(毛). He does not face reality as a blind follower of the system ideology, but rather mislead and distort reality through self-deception. His tragic suicide show the tragic catastrophe of the blind man victimized by national gaslighting. The author defined the life of Ku dong-liang(庫東亮), who became a sinner due to his father’s crime, as a “lost” youth, and looked at his “lonely” youth with three keywords: “pressure and restraint”, “deficiency and hurt” and “lonely and alone.” In those days when the future and hope were far away, the disappointment, wandering, and frustration of young people were the tragic fate given to Ku dong-liang(庫東亮). The life of the heroine Zhang Hui-xian(江慧仙) is like a marionette living on a rope adjusted and controlled by someone regardless of her will. For 13 years, Zhang Hui-xian(江慧仙) who has been hanging on a string suspended by others, wandered around three spaces and has longed for the desires of others, through her turbulent fate and frustration. In Chapter III, the era of chaos stained by absurdity and contradiction was examined through the adaptation and fiction of Deng shao-xiang(鄧少香)’s history, an absurd disturbance caused by Ku Won-xuan(庫文軒)’s fish-shaped spots.
