점필재 김종직 연구에 대한 반성적 전망

본고는 지난 수 십 년 동안 수행해 온 김종직 관련 연구 동향을 개괄적으로 정리한 다음, 이를 근거로 그 동안의 주요 성과가 어떤 것이 있는지, 그리고 앞으로 유의해야 할 과제가 또 어떤 것이 있을지 조망해 보고자 하였다. 결과, 김종직에 대한 연구는 1980연대에 문학 분야 연구를 중심으로 본격화되기 시작하였고, 90년대 이후 신진 연구자들이 다수 가세하고 관련 학술대회를 개최함으로써 연구가 세분화되고 다양화되는 경향을 보여주었으며, 2천 년대에는 연구의 중복성 때문에 양에 비례할 질적 성과를 거두지는 못했음을 확인하였다. 지금까지 연구 상황을 조망할 때 앞으로 더 유의할 필요가 있는 과제로는 첫째 문집과 저술의 이본을 대조하여 완성도 높은 정본(定本)을 마련하는 것, 둘째 초기 저작을 연구하여 김종직의 학문적 지향과 현실인식의 실체를 검증하는 것, 셋째 기존 연구의 이견을 정리하여 정론을 마련하는 것, 넷째 제자 그룹의 실상을 실증적으로 분석하여 구성원과 그 성격을 분명하게 파악하는 것 등이 있을 것으로 보았다.
Abstract
This paper summarized the trends of researches related to Kim Jong-Jik, which have been conducted for the past several years and examined what were the major outcomes and what are the projects to be further paid attention. In result, the studies on Kim Jong-Jik started in earnest in 1890's, centering on the researches of literature and as a large number of new researchers had joined and relevant symposiums were held since 1990's, the research appeared to be subdivided and diversified. Besides, because of duplicated researches, there was no qualitative improvement in proportion to the quantity in 2000's. Considering the situation of researches that has been taken place until now, the projects to be given further attention include; to prepare an original copy of high quality by comparing collection of works with alternative versions, to verify Kim's intention upon learning and substance in the recognition of reality by studying his early writings, to prepare a sound argument by organizing different views on existing researches and to clearly grasp members and nature of the discipleship group by analyzing empirically the realities of the group.
