This paper translated and examined four poems written by LiBai(李白). The first poem can be divided into three paragraphs. The first paragraph praises the reputation, worth, and dignity of the Cui brothers. The second paragraph indicates that the poet who was deeply favored by the emperor was forced to leave the palace due to jealousy and slander, and he is now a wanderer. The last paragraph expresses that if the Cui brothers give him a favor, he will repay the favor. The second poem consists of four paragraphs as shown below. The first paragraph began with the story of LiSi(李斯) and SongYu(宋玉), showing the keynote of the entire poem. The second paragraph described the meeting with SongZhi(宋陟) and what he was feeling. The third paragraph expressed his regret for SongZhi who was given a low position even though he was a man of good personality. The last paragraph represented the situation in which SongZhi was smeared and the hope for SongZhi. The third poem can be divided into two paragraphs. The first paragraph describes that Tao Yuanmin(陶淵明) was always drunk, stroking his stringless zither, and living a worry-free life. The second paragraph expressed his desire to go to the stay of ZhengAn(鄭晏) who had the same manner as Tao Yuanming to meet him and spend some time catching up with him. The fourth poem can be divided into four paragraphs. The first paragraph described learning Zen, understanding the laws of the earth’s movement, and making the laws of its harmony his own supernatural power. The second paragraph described as poetic imagery the experience of becoming one with the universe through practice. The third paragraph expressed that he was moved by the teachings of Master DaoYa(道崖) and entrusted his heart to them. The last paragraph represented his hope to travel Penglai(蓬萊) and Yingzhou(瀛州) with Dao Ya, where hermits live.
