중국 근대 교과서는 청말 제2차 아편전쟁을 기점으로 본격적으로 출판되어 보급되었다고 볼 수 있다. 이는 전통 시기의 교재와 편찬 방식, 내용, 저술 과정 등에 있어서 확연히 다른 양상을 보인다. 특히 근대의 격변하는 국내외 정세에 따라 이를 편찬하고 출판하고 유통하는 주체와 양상이 시기별로 매우 다르게 나타나고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 중국의 근대 교육 형성기에 어떻게 교과서가 생산되고 어떻게 수요자에게 전달되었는지 등과 같은 출판과 유통 양상에 대해 시대별로 검토해 보았다.
Abstract
Modern textbooks began to be published and disseminated in earnest starting from the Second Opium War in the late Qing Dynasty. This marked a clear departure from traditional teaching materials in terms of compilation methods, content, and writing processes. In particular, the rapidly changing domestic and international circumstances of the modern era led to significant variations in the entities responsible for compiling, publishing, and distributing these textbooks over different periods. This study examines the production of textbooks during the formation of modern education in China, as well as how they were distributed and delivered to students as consumers, across different historical periods.
