Abstract
A new pink gerbera (Gerbera hybrida Hort.) cultivar Pink Dream was developed from a cross Ventury and Ansofiefolowed by seedling and line selections at the Floricultural Experiment Station, Gyeongnam Agricultural Research and ExtensionServices (ARES) in 1998. Characteristics trials were conducted thre times from 1999 to 2001. It has pink color (RHS No. 27-C),brown center, single type and mid-large flower. It also is in god harmony in ray floret color and flower center color with stableflower shape. The vase life was 13.7 days. The average yield of pink dream was 51.0 flowers per plant in the greenhouse yieldcarried out from 19 to 201. This cultivar registered as comercial cultivar in 201. It wil be able to be planted in any green-house region in Korea.
