Abstract
A new red gerbera (Gerbera hybrida Hort.) cultivar Love Song was developed from a cros Ansofie and Sunset fol-lowed by sedling and line selections at the Floricultural Experiment Station, Gyeongnam Agricultural Research and ExtensionServices (ARES) in 198. Characteristics trials were conducted three times from 19 to 201. It has characteristics of red color(RHS No. 45-B), brown center, single type and middle flower. It also is in god harmony in ray floret color and flower center colorwith stable flower shape, and vase life was 10.3 days. The average yield of Love Song was 40.0 flowers per plant in the green-house yield trails caried out from 1999 to 201. This cultivar was registered as a commercial cultivar in 201. It wil be able to beplanted in any grenhouse region in Korea.
