초록

Diversity and relatedness of 64 rice accessions were evaluated using 85 simple sequence repeats (SSRs) markers. These64 accessions represent a set of international and Korean blast diferential cultivars, a set of blast monogenic lines, donors of blastresistance, and Korean elite cultivars. Eighty-five microsatellite markers representing 85 loci in the rice genome were evaluated andalleles per primer. The polymorphism information content (PIC) value ranged from 0.0 to 0.867, with an average of 0.498. The 64cultivars were classified into four groups by cluster analysis based on Nei's genetic distances. The relationships among accessionsdepicted by cluster analysis were consistent with those of the previous studies where japonica and indica subspecies formed a dif-ferent cluster. Of the SSR markers previously reported to be linked to major blast resistance genes in diferent rice germplasm, sev-selecting blast resistant lines in a breding program. Evaluation of sixty-four accessions against blast isolates revealed associationsbetween genotypic profiles and blast resistance reactions. The specificity in resistance reactions to isolates in 64 accessions provesthat the blast resistance breeding and development of monogenic lines have been based on the use of race-specific resistance genes. The diference between two groups, japonica and indica plus Tongil-type in reaction to the isolates seems to suggest the possiblelinkage between the resistance genes and genetic factors related to subspecies diferentiation.Genetic diversity, Oryza sativa, Pyricularia grisea, microsatellite, rice blast
