초록

Fieldwork studies done last four years by the Mongolian languages team of the ASK REAL (The Altaic Society of Korea, Researches on the Endangered Altaic Languages) are briefly introduced. Joint efforts of the ASK REAL and the AMA (Association of Mongolian Altaists) are briefly mentioned. Certain interesting features of the speeches of the Darkhad informants are introduced and compared with other Mongolian languages and dialects including Spoken and Written Khalkha, Buryat, Middle Mongolian, Written Mongolian, Kalmyk, and Uriankhai. Among the interesting features of the Darkhad Mongolian, following features are introduced and discussed. Some of them are shared by all four informants, or by two or three informants. Some of them appear in the speech of only one informant. Some of them are shared with Buryat, some of them with Oirat, some of them are pertinent only to Darkhad. They are: -Self identifications on one’s own dialect -Heavy Khalkha influence -Unique Darkhad vocabularies -Phonology including fricative and affricate consonants, diphthong and long vowels -Morpho-syntactic features including verbal predicate, declension of personal pronouns, polite imperative marker, peculiar interrogative marker.
