Abstract

This study was to explain the significance of Nuljae(Yang Sung-ji)'s educational thoughts from the view point of a kind of system dynamics. From this view point Nuljae explained the causes of social problems at that time as shortage of good popular morals and King's effort to enlighten his people. He proposed the possibility to tide over the problems only by King's own initiative in doing all the activities morally and His people's being influenced. In his thoughts the King's own initiative in doing actions morally is itself a very important education. And the educations in schools took a role to bring up the competent officers who would educate people for their King. His educational thoughts has some features as follow: The first is that on the basis of Confucian morality and popular morals, many good officers, who have capacity of business and much know-how of practical usefulness should be brought up in school educations. The second is to try to succeed to the traditions of aboriginal ways of life from Old Chosun Dynasty B.C. 24C. He emphasized that the succession must be an important independent living ways of Chosun people and an important ways to develop and make firm the life system of the State Chosun perpetually. And he made efforts to hold the ideas mentioned above in common King and people.
