본 연구는 중앙정부 주도의 대표적인 청년 대상 자산형성지원사업의 일환인 청년내일저축계좌 사업 참여자들의 관점에서 사업참여의 어려움과 개선 욕구를 파악하였다. 2022년도와 2023년도에 청년내일저축계좌 사업에 참여한 총 43명의 청년들을 4개의집단으로 구성하여 각 1회씩 총 4회에 걸쳐 초점집단인터뷰를 수행하였다. 귀납적 주제분석을 통해 6개의 상위주제와 18개의하위주제가 도출되었다. 사업에 참여한 청년들은 사업 참여 및 유지 조건을 충족시키는 것에 대한 어려움과 사업 참여 및 유지에 대한지원의 부재를 보고하였다. 또한 사업 참여와 유지를 위한 지원, 전달체계의 편의성 증진, 사업에 대한 인식 증진, 자산형성 교육과상담의 강화에 대한 개선 욕구를 나타냈다. 본 연구는 청년내일저축계좌 참여 청년 당사자들의 목소리를 통해 청년들의 자산형성과경제적 자립을 촉진하기 위한 실질적인 개선 방향을 제시하였다는 점에서 의의를 갖는다.
Abstract
This study aimed to identify challenges to participation and improvement needs in the Young Adult Tomorrow Savings Account Program, a representative asset-building initiative implemented by the national government. Forty-three young adults who participated in the program in 2022 and 2023 were divided into four groups and completed focus group interviews. Through inductive thematic analysis, six major themes and 18 subthemes emerged. Participants highlighted challenges in meeting eligibility requirements and a lack of support for program participation and continuation. Improvement needs included enhanced support for enrollment and program maintenance, improved convenience in the delivery system, increased awareness building, and strengthened education and counseling for asset building. This study provides valuable implications by offering practical directions for enhancing asset building and economic independence among young people, as voiced by participants in the Young Adult Tomorrow Savings Account program.
