Abstract

Previous studies argue that ego resilience varies according to motion behavior change stages. This means that as the motion behavior change stage advances, the ego resilience increases. In this study, using the Rasch model, it was confirmed if the findings of this study were the same as those of previous studies by analyzing the adequacy of the ego resilience scale according to movement behavior change stages in university students. To that end, 382 students in universities in Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Chungcheongnam-do were surveyed using the movement behavior change and ego resilience scale. As a result, while there was a statistically significant difference in ego resilience according to the movement behavior change stages, the ego resilience of stage 3(“Exercise sometimes”) was found to be higher than that of stage 4(“Exercise sufficiently”). In conclusion, unlike the previous studies, the ego resilience scale inadequately assessed students according to the movement behavior change stages.
