사회과 양적 연구의 실태 분석

본 연구는 사회과 양적 연구의 실태를 분석하여 사회과 양적 연구의 현주소와 향후 개선점을 모색하고자 하였다. 2000년도 이후, 최근 9년 동안 시민교육연구에 게재된 양적 연구를 대상으로, 연구 설계와 분석 방법을 중심으로 분석하였다. 연구 설계에서는 표집선정방법과 측정도구를, 분석 방법에서는 모수통계와 비모수통계의 가정을 검토했는가를 살펴보았다. 분석 결과 사회과 양적 연구에서는 비확률표집이 높은 비율을 차지했고, 특히 편의 표본과 판단 표본추출방법을 많이 활용한 것으로 나타났다. 측정도구의 타당도와 신뢰도가 통계적으로 확보되어야 하는 점과 분석 방법의 가정 충족과 더불어 다양한 통계 기법의 활용 등의 문제도 나타났다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 실태 분석을 토대로 사회과 양적 연구의 개선점을 제안하였다.
Abstract
This study attempts to find out and improve current status of quantitative researches on social studies by way of analyzing quantitative method papers. This study analyzed quantitative studies published on Theory and Research in Citizenship Education for last 9 years, namely since 2000, focused mainly on trend of papers's amount and analytical method on quantitative researches. As a result of the analysis, nonprobability sampling method is mainly used as a way of sampling in social studies quantitative research, especially convenience sampling and judgment sampling are used frequently. The reliability and validity of measurement should be secured in a statistical way and the assumptions of each statistical analysis should be secured simultaneously when choosing method of statistical analysis.
