동아시아 공동체와 공존의 윤리

Abstract

In this article an ethics of co-existence is suggested from the viewpoint of contemporary ethics under the relation to the current debates for the construction of East Asian community led by Korean government and the substantial principle for the accomplishment of the ethics is also discussed. Whole body of this article is split into two part. In the first chapter the necessity of searching a new ethics for the community is explained and the idea that very different and various contexts of culture of every country in East Asia will be harmonized necessarily by membership with respecting the ethics of co-existence and therefore the community will run lonr forever is also discussed. And how to construct the ethics is discussed as follow: the first is to re-interpret the traditional ethics according to new ask of the community and the second is that new ethics will have to be based on every member's self-awakening of the principle of co-existence. In the second chapter a few and important ideas and methods of the Korean traditional ethics which will be necessary in developing the ethics of community are explained and the way and direction how to re-interpret them is discussed. In this article on the assumption that traditional ethics must go along with the Western ethics, especially the potentialities of Korean traditional ethics are studied. The methods of the study are from the viewpoints of the radical constructivists, and the concept of ethical know-how, and ethics of co-existence they suggested.
