2015 개정 교육과정의 『윤리와 사상』 교과서 내용 분석 − 율곡과 다산의 윤리 사상을 중심으로 −

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to examine the description of the ethical thoughts of Yulgok and Dasan in high school Ethics and Thoughts textbook based on 2015 revised national curriculum. In particular, the focus was on description that could confuse learners' understanding, description that could be misunderstood, and the homogeneity of the contents of the five textbooks. The statement that "Li(principle, 理) has the universality that is not limited by time and space, while the Ki(material force, 氣) has the speciality that is limited" could confuse understanding the Kibal-liseung-ildo(the only one way that Ki moves and Li rides on it, 氣發理乘一途). This is because the content of this description is what Yulgok said when he insisted on Litong-kiguk(Li is not limited but Ki is limited, 理通氣局). The statement that “Dasan argues that human morality is not inherently born, but is a result acquired through practice” could be misunderstood as that he claims that human nature is not inherently morally good. This is because Dasan insists that human nature is good because human beings are born with a moral nature as a liking that likes goodness and hates evil. Seong(sincerity, 誠) emphasized by Yulgok is described as a method of self-cultivation in three kinds of textbooks, a kind of textbook describes it as the ultimate level of self-cultivation, and in another kind of textbook, it is a method of self-cultivation and at the same time as the ultimate level of self-cultivation. In addition, the theory of self-cultivation of Dasan is not introduced in three kinds of textbooks, but in a kind of textbook, self reflection, achieving four virtues, and Seo(恕) are presented, and in another textbook, self reflection and Gyeong(敬) are presented. Therefore, when the textbook is revised afterwards, it is necessary to raise the homogeneity by presenting an agreed writing standard for Seong(sincerity, 誠) emphasized by Yulgok and the theory of self-cultivation of Dasan.
