Abstract
This study was conducted to examine the communication skills and leadership of dance company leaders necessary for creating a work environment for professional dance company dancers to demonstrate their abilities. The purpose of this study was to verify how the non verbal communication of leaders and the components of the LMX affect the goal orientation of dancers. To achieve this purpose, data were collected from 200 dancers belonging to dance companies among domestic professional dance companies in March 2025. Of these, 187 copies were excluded from 13 copies that were unsuitable for use, and confirmatory factor analysis, canonical correlation analysis, and re gression analysis were performed using SPSS and AMOS 21 statistical programs. The results obtained are as follows. First, among the sub factors of nonverbal communication, appearance language had a positive effect on self-goal orientation, while body language, spatial lan guage, appearance language, and auditory language had a positive effect on task-goal orientation. Second, all subfactors of nonverbal com munication had a positive effect on emotional bonding and professionalism of LMX. Third, among the subfactors of LMX, loyalty had a positive effect on self-goal orientation, while emotional bonding, loyalty, and contribution had a positive effect on task-goal orientation. Based on the results of this study, we intend to suggest implications for creating a positive environment within professional dance compa nies and provide a new perspective on improving management efficiency.
