Abstract
Recently, the use of service robots at international airports is increasing. This study confirmed the effect of consumer’s reaction to service robot on airport image. To this end, we examined consumers’ responses to service robots in cognitive and emotional responses. We empirically analyzed whether these responses affect customer satisfaction and ultimately airport image through perceived quality and perceived enjoyment. For empirical analysis, we collected data from consumers who have used service robots at airports. As a result, cognitive responses to service robots have a positive effect on perceived quality, and emotional responses increase perceived enjoyment. In addition, perceived quality and perceived enjoyment increase customer satisfaction with service robots, and satisfied customers due to service robots positively evaluate airport image. This result confirms that the positive evaluation of service robots contributes to the positive effect of the overall airport image. In addition, it was expected that the perceived enjoyment, which is an emotional aspect, would have a greater impact on customer satisfaction with service robots than the perceived quality, which is an cognitive aspect. However, the empirical results show that there is no statistically significant difference in the influence of the two paths. Therefore, it was found that both cognitive and emotional evaluation of consumers had an important influence on customer satisfaction with service robots.
