우리나라 항공운송산업의 생태계 분석 연구

항공운송산업은 국가 경제에 기여하는 바가 크고, 복합적으로 영향을 미치는 다양한 사업자와 참여자로 구성된다. 따라서 항공운송산업이 지속적으로 성장하고 발전하기 위해서는 개별 구성속성의 발전만으로는 성장의 폭을 넓힐 수 없고, 항공운송산업 전체의 생태계 차원의 정책과 전략을 기반으로운영되어야 한다. 그러나 우리나라 항공운송산업의 생태계 현황과 실태에 대한 조사와 연구는 미흡한실정이다. 본 연구는 우리나라 항공운송산업 생태계를 정의하고, 생태계의 범주를 구체화하여 분석하기 위한 탐색적 연구이다. 따라서 산업생태계에 대한 정의와 기존 문헌 연구를 통하여 우리나라 항공운송산업 생태계에 대한 정의와 구조를 제시하고, 항공운송산업 생태계의 경쟁력을 평가하고 분석하기 위한 체계를 제시하고자 한다. 또한, 전문가의 평가를 통해 우리나라 항공운송산업 생태계의 발전단계 및 경쟁력에 대한 탐색적 평가를 실시하여 우리나라 항공운송산업 생태계의 발전을 위한 시사점을 찾고자 한다. 항공운송산업이 복잡한 생태계 구조를 가지고 있기 때문에, 생태계를 구성하는 다양한 사업자 간의 협력은 산업발전에 매우 중요한 역할을 한다. 따라서 항공운송산업 내부 구성원 간의유기적인 상생협력을 통해 동반성장을 이루어야 할 것이다. 또한, 항공운송산업 생태계의 구성산업에대한 정책적 지원은 생태계 발전단계에 따라 다르게 수립되어야 한다. 특히, 우리나라 항공운송산업생태계의 발전전략에 대하여 기반조성 전략, 혁신성장 전략, 글로벌시장 전략으로 구분하여 제시한다. 우리나라 항공운송산업의 발전을 위해서는 항공운송산업 생태계에 대한 보다 정밀한 분석이 필요하고, 이를 기반으로 항공운송산업 정책과 시장전략의 수립을 통해 항공산업의 글로벌 경쟁력 향상에 기여할 수 있도록 해야 할 것이다. 본 연구가 항공운송산업 생태계에 대한 탐색적 연구로 시작되었지만, 항공운송산업 생태계에 대한 보다 다양한 연구활동에 도움이 될 것으로 기대한다.
Abstract
In recent year aviation sectors have been facing a severe competition environment, characterized by a deregulation, service innovations and changing air travel behavior. The aviation services are not only provided by airlines. There are many types of companies and organizations in the aviation industry including airlines, airport operators, ground handling service providers. Each company provides an aviation related services by engaging in alliances and partnerships with others which are in the aviation sector or not. For offering the aviation service, it is essential to make a cooperation system among partners which will be a fundamental tool for continuous growth of the aviation industry. The aviation industry is composed of various attributes which are affected by complex interrelationships. A simple change in one attribute can affect others, and consequently change the entire industry. Therefore, it need a comprehensive and systematic analysis of the aviation industry ecosystem. In this paper, we will focus on analyzing the ecosystem on the aviation industry in Korea. By using literature reviews on industry ecosystems, we will define the ecosystem on the aviation industry and suggest a structure of an typical ecosystem on the Korean aviation industry which represents the inter-relationship among attributes in the ecosystem. Due to a complex ecosystem in the aviation industry, cooperation between various players in the ecosystem takes a core role in industrial development. Therefore, it is necessary to achieve shared growth through systematic win-win cooperation among players in the aviation industry. In addition, policy support for the constituent industries of the aviation industry ecosystem should be established differently depending on the ecosystem development stage. Also, we develop a methodology to evaluate the competitiveness of each attributes in the aviation ecosystem. With the method and the expert survey, we have analyzed the competitiveness of some major attributes in the aviation ecosystem in Korea. Based on the analysis, we suggest strategic and political implications for competitive advantages in global aviation market. For the development of the aviation industry in Korea, it need to analyze the ecosystem in the aviation industry more detail. This study is an exploratory study on the ecosystem of the aviation industry in Korea. It is expected that this study will be useful for more research activities on the ecosystem of the aviation industry in Korea.
