This paper deals with the awareness and preference of typical landscape resources of Daegu City, with special focus on changes in cognitive structures during last decade, and comparisons between local residents and visitors. By the types of landscape resources, life and culture resources showed high preference and awareness level. The awareness level was the lowest in historic and remains resources, while the preference was the lowest in streets and industrial resources. During last decade, overall awareness levels were significantly increased, and some resources showed significant increase in preference such as ‘Suseong lake’, ‘Shincheon’, ‘Geumho river’, ‘Dongsung-ro’, and ‘Dongdaegu-ro’. And some resources such as ‘Biseul-mt. natural park’, ‘Deulan-gil’, and ‘Palgong-mt. road’ showed significant increase in awareness level. These resources are suggested to be managed as representative landscape resources. But some historic resources such as ‘Gyongsang Gamyeoung park’ showed decrease in preference, which means the restoration policy is required urgently.
